Need to Keep Moving

I have come across some people from time to time that are hesitant or concerned about working out. They don't want to do it and get hurt. Perhaps they have been injured before or heard from a friend who "sprained an ankle when running and could barely make it home". Regardless of the scenario, injuries are never pleasant. They can be scary and daunting. Should they stop us from exercising? NO. Even walking the sidewalk or driving a car presents numerous chances of danger, yet we do not focus on that because it would greatly limit the quality of our lives. Sure as you exercise more, your body is moving and from time to time something may get hurt. It is because of this there are guidelines to working out. Having a good warm up, cool down, and correct form all reduce the risk of injury. Using poor form, not warming up, trying to do more than your physical capabilities are things that can be harmful and should be avoided. When looking for some variety and new ways of trying healthy food, search for a good recipe to try. There are numerous websites and cookbooks dedicated to healthy eating that make this task quite simple. Something to be aware of though is the “healthy recipe” that turns out not to be so. Some things to keep in mind as you look over the recipes.. how much sugar, salt, MSG, fats/oils (of any type) is in the recipe? Ideally you will minimize many of these as they are what hinder the health quality of the food. Always look to use fresh ingredients when possible or frozen (check the ingredients to make sure no additives are present) is a good option as well. I encourage you to look for new recipes often and just remember, analyze what it really is before you give it a try!

Keep your Motivation

When working towards weight loss goals, it can be a long and hard process. The key is to keep at it. This can be done many ways, depending on what works for you. Noticing how clothes fit, getting compliments from others, aspiring to be like someone you see on TV or in a magazine, achieving certain fitness goals, hearing stories and on and on it can go! What helps to inspire and motivate some people may not work for others and that is O.K. Keep looking for different things to give yourself a little pick me up. Could be nearly anything as long as you feel an increased motivation from it. When you find something that works for you, don't be afraid to share it with someone else. Sometimes they may not agree but more often than not they will also be motivated.
